Mere Cottage B&B Alsager

Welcome to Mere Cottage B&B.

Mere Cottage is located on the Crewe Road just a two minute walk from Alsager town centre and the picturesque Mere Lake.

The 19th century, deceptively spacious cottage is tastefully restored and updated with its beautiful original oak floors and interiors still retaining its old world charm and character. At Mere Cottage we pride ourselves in offering luxury accommodation and an exceptional breakfast menu sourced locally. All our bedrooms are en-suite and each room has adjustable heating to suit your own requirements. There is free Wi-Fi internet connection, Smart TVs with DVDs and tea & coffee hospitality trays. All our rooms have a literary theme with individual artwork, and throughout the property we have supported local artists and photographers to give a unique boutique style, whilst also offering a homely feel to your stay. Our Hemingway, Bronte and Hardy Rooms are accessed by one set of stairs which has 2 handrails. Anyone with mobility problems would be advised to book our downstairs Fitzgerald Room.

Alsager is an ideal base for ramblers, cyclists and day trips to the Peak District, Alton Towers, Trentham Monkey Forest, Manchester, the Staffordshire Moorlands or to the historic town of Chester. We are also ideally situated to visit the many pottery factories in Stoke on Trent, such as Wedgewood, Gladstone Pottery Museum, Emma Bridgewater and Middleport Pottery, as featured on TV. If you have family or friends visiting, we would be happy to accommodate them, a home from home where they will always find a warm welcome.

There are 8 restaurants, 4 public houses, cash machines and convenience stores within five minutes walk of Mere Cottage and we have negotiated a discount for our guests in several restaurants.

We are just 5 minutes from Junction 16, M6.

Parking is available at the front of the property.
